Something important I learned this year was fractions because I know how to do them now and I think fractions are important. I feel I improved the most in my math’s because I can do area and perimeter pretty good now and they are more easier than when we were started to do them.

My favorite thing this year was the museum because it was interesting seeing all the different stuff and there backstories and my favorite thing there was t-Rex with the black bones. Something I am proud of accomplishing is my spelling because I practice a lot at home and I have always been pretty good at spelling.

Something I enjoyed studying the most was free writing because you got to write about anything and to me that was really fun also I wrote a scary story and that was the best scary story I ever wrote. I will never forget this year because It was the year I got to hang out with my friends more and because I had so much fun this year and so much happend this year.

Something I would like to improve for next year is my 12 timetables because they are really hard for me and I need to practice them. I really liked being a year 6 this year because it was so much fun and I had to do some responsibilities and my favorite one was being an av room monitor.

I’ve had a fabulous time being a year 6.

Salam bloggers on Thursday we made head bands because of Parihaka. On Parihaka remembrance day we had to wear white and you can make some headbands like how we did.  We wore white because the colour white stands for Peace. We first got got these white strips and then you had to get this double sided tape and then take it out and stick it on another white strip that you were given. I was kind of mad because I didn’t know what pattern to draw it was super frustrating. Eventually I found a pattern and my 3 friends we all did the same patterns and basically the pattern was triangles and more triangles in side of the triangles kind of basic if you ask me but it go the job done. After all of that we had to put permanent marker over the pattern we drew and mine looks pretty good. I was nearly done and finally I finished and then you had to get these white feathers and put tape on them to stick them onto the white strips.

The Black Ferns are the best team in the world because someone from our school plays for them and when she was at our school she was really good at rugby. The Black Ferns made it to the quarter finals and they’re doing so good and they are also about to make it to the finals and i’m pretty sure they are going to win the women’s rugby world cup. We got these small booklets and we had to put the scores of the teams in the rugby world cup. the 1st quarter finals is on Saturday 29th of October-16:30 and its going to be such an exciting game. I really hope they win there games and I hope they get lots of money. I hope Sylvia Brunt the girl who went to our school gets to play in the matches because that would be awesome.

On the 18th of October we went to the Auckland museum. The whole Te Waka Ako came and when you first come into the museum you see this awesome t-Rex and there was a place for eating and everyone had to go there. We were all split into groups there was group one,group two,group three and I was in group two. We learned a lot about volcanoes and things we need to pack while in a disaster. The first place I went with my group is the Auckland exhibit and there was a rope that you had to pull with your group and there was different levels. We first started off easy and then we went to medium level, medium was a little bit harder but when we got to the last level we couldn’t pull properly and after ten seconds of pulling we realized that we finished. There was so much activities the and all of them were so fun and the statues were amazing. It was a chance for us to be out of the classroom and have lots of fun. After everything we did we went back to the food place and ate our lunch.

Last Friday on the thirteenth of May, the people who finished their work early they got to play t-ball, we also got to play with our teachers. There were different teams and my team went first for batting. The fielding team who were on the base they were really good. The points were so even and we got seven points and the other team got eight and we lost but it was such a good game.

Everyone was in a line and after everyone had a turn batting it was my turn. I was really nervous because I didn’t know how to play that well. I was scared I would mess up because I am not that good at batting. As soon as I hit the ball I started to run to all the bases and I didn’t know what I was doing and my friend got me out.

After we had our turn for batting the other team had to bat. So we we were on bases but I didn’t go on a base because I knew I would mess it up so I just tried to catch the balls and give it to the people who were on the bases.

On student fun day we had lots of fun and there were a lot of activities. The first activity I did was swimming and it wasn’t very cold but later it got hot. My friends were also swimming with me and we were looking at the other kids sliding down on the slip and slide.

Afterwards my friends and I went down the slip and slide. The  kids who were on the slip and slide switched to the pool and the kids that were in the pool switched to the slip and slide.

When we went to the slip and slide we had so much fun and the soap was getting all over my clothes and my face. After the slip and slide me and my friends were boiling because it was so hot!

After all of that we had to go to the bouncy castle and it was very short and it was so bouncy. The bouncy castle was short so they put obstacles  around it.  I did it three times and it was so tiring.

I was steaming hot and I had  finished all of the water in my drink bottle so i filled it up again and then me and my friend went to the wheels and we used the bikes. What an exciting day!
